CLEWISTON -- Please be advised that beginning Thursday, Jan. 13, South Central Florida Express (SCFE) and their contractor, Harmack Company, will be conducting railroad improvements and roadway construction services at the railroad crossing on South Francisco Street in Clewiston.
Operations will require the South Francisco Street railroad crossing to be closed. Visual message signs and traffic control signage will be in place to detour traffic. The sidewalk will remain accessible for students and pedestrians. Motorists should find an alternative route and allow extra time for their commute.
The work is expected to have a completion time of approximately one (1) day.
Operations will begin on Thursday (01/13/22) at 9 a.m. and end once track repairs are completed.
Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to change. The Hendry County Engineering Department will notify of any changes.
