BELLE GLADE — Members of the Belle Glade High School Class of 1964 had a reunion at the 2025 Black Gold Jubilee.

The Class of 1964 has been getting together for decades since their graduation. Their first two reunions were held in Belle Glade, while recent reunions have been held in Orlando, St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, Eufaula, Alabama, and Hiawassee, GA.

The majority members of the class started in kindergarten or in first grade from Belle Glade, South Bay, and Lake Harbor.  They all joined together at Belle Glade High School once they entered ninth grade.

Once they finished school the group said they all stayed in touch. They have a combined email list to keep up with each other's lives and continually share family events. Classmates share news, the good and the bad, the happy times and the challenges that they are going through.

As the years go by, updates have taken a more somber turn with requested prayers due to illnesses and deaths. The class has stuck together throughout it all and well wishes and prayers are poured out by everyone on the email list over 50 alumni. The prayers come from everywhere, even from one classmate who has been a missionary in the Philippines for many years.

Members of the Belle Glade High School Class of 1964 say they know that they are blessed to have grown up together in a special place at a special time and to have each other in their lives.
