BBB and SBA celebrates Small Business Week

Posted

CLEARWATER — Each year in early May, the nation honors the millions of small businesses that fuel our economy and strengthen our communities. During Small Business Week, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) proudly salute the resilience, innovation, and dedication of entrepreneurs across the country.

Running a small business is no small feat. It takes vision, adaptability, and grit—qualities that small business owners demonstrate daily as they serve their communities and support their teams. Small Business Week is not just a celebration—it's a call to action to recognize their contributions and continue supporting their growth.

“Small businesses are the lifeblood of thriving communities,” said Karen Nalven, President/CEO at Better Business Bureau serving West Florida. “They build trust, create jobs, and embody the spirit of entrepreneurship. This week is about celebrating their journey and helping them reach even greater heights.”

How to Celebrate Small Business Week with BBB:

  • Explore Resources: Visit BBB’s Business Resources Page and Business News Feed for insights, tools, and tips to help your business grow and adapt to changing market demands.
  • Engage Locally: Shop local and support your favorite small businesses. Every purchase helps boost the local economy and fosters a sense of community.
